This one needs nothing from you. The Bao Box is served exactly as it arrives. The buns are soft, the fillings are in and the sauces are already on them, so there is no steaming, no oven and no warming step. Put the platter down and let people help themselves.
Keep it covered until you serve it, and put it out within a couple of hours of it arriving, which is when the buns are at their best.

Mild to medium. The bang bang mayo has a gentle chilli warmth rather than heat, and the Asian bbq and sweet and sour sauces are not spicy at all. If you need it milder still, tell us when you order.
Both. One bao is pulled pork and one is tempura prawn. The other two are crunchy chicken and pulled beef. If you need the platter without pork or without shellfish, tell us when you order and we will adjust the mix.
Not as standard. All four fillings on this platter contain meat or seafood. If you need vegetarian bao on the platter, ask when you order and we will tell you what we can do, or pair it with the Vegetarian Charcuterie Box so nobody is left out.
Eight. Every Magies Vol platter is built for 8 people and there is no smaller or larger version, so you always know exactly what you are getting. For 16 people order two, and for 24 guests or more a grazing table set up on site usually works out better.
Yes, if you order before 09:00. Anything ordered before 09:00 is delivered the same day across Fourways, Bryanston, Sandton and Rosebank. Orders placed after 09:00 are delivered the next day, because every platter is packed fresh on the morning it goes out.
They are at their best on the day and within a few hours of arriving, served as they are. Refrigerate anything left over and eat it the next day, though the buns are noticeably better fresh.
We deliver across Fourways, Bryanston, Sandton and Rosebank and the surrounding suburbs, Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00. Collection from our kitchen can also be arranged. If you are just outside those areas, message us on 066 408 8267 and we will let you know.
